Job Details

The Light Technician is responsible for positioning, operating, and maintaining all aspects of lighting, show control, and haze/low fog systems in various entertainment venues and activities. They work closely with the Head Sound and Light Technician to ensure all related consumables are replenished and available. The Light Technician should be experienced in live performance lighting, lighting control consoles and programs, and show control systems. They should be able to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on several types of conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures. Contract lengths are 6 months & 3 weeks continuous employment followed by a 6-8 week work break on completion of contract.

Hiring requirements:

• 2 years minimum experience with hands-on programming and operation of live performances
• Proficient in the operation of lighting control consoles and programs such as ETC, Whole hog 11, 111, Flying Pig Systems and Martin Light jockey
• Maintain and troubleshoot/repair intelligent lighting fixtures
• Education from a technical school preferred
