As part of our amazing Engine Team Assistant Fitter Mechanics help to maintain and repair our ship technical, Galley and Laundry equipment. Assistant Fitter mechanics play a vital part in ensuring all equipment is functioning properly to ensure we can provide the best amenities and services to our guests to ensure they have a fun and memorable vacation! .

Assists in performing major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work in marine equipment to determine needs for repairs or adjustments. 

1)Fully participates in all safety training and drills.  

2)Adhere to all environmental policies and procedures 

3)Performs on-call duty as per the department schedule 

4)Assisting in the maintenance and repair of the ship's laundry and Galley equipment. 

5)Preventing spares and tools from being damaged due to poor handling or exposure to the weather. 

6)One of the engine room daily workers. 

7)Operates hand and power tools associated with marine engines and equipment. 

8)Assists in the repair and maintenance of hydraulic equipment and valves. 

Requirements:
* You should have at least 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
* Intermediate level proficiency in English is required.
* Minimum guest interaction might be required.
* You must pass a Seafarers Medical Fitness Examination.
* Ability to work well with a team.

Contract lengths /vacation – 6 months on/2 months off
