JOB PURPOSE • Directly responsible for all the operations, cleanliness and sanitation of Guests and Crew laundry areas. • Responsible for Storage of all linen, towels, Guests clothes, etc. • To treat Hazardous material or contaminated following Standard Procedures KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness and service in all laundry areas. • Start work each day at 0630, and making a physical check of the laundry areas, ensuring all equipment is working and all areas clean. • Take breakfast at 0700 until 0730 in the Crew Messroom. • Check that all laundry personnel are on duty wearing clean and correct uniforms, name badges, and that all male personnel are shaved and tidy. • Meet the Housekeeper in the Housekeeping Office at 07:45 (on days at sea) then start with the regular laundry operations. • Check the laundry to see it is managing the night’s consignment of cabin linen and towels. QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience) • High School Graduate • Certified ability to supervise an automated laundry facility. • High level of understanding of all modern laundry equipment | |
