Position: BAR WAITER
Salary: $3,400 per month + gratitudes

BAR WAITER is responsible to deal with guests and fellow crew members in a professional courteous manner ensuring that a six star  service standard is maintained at all times providing a superior guest experience and a healthy productive work environment within company guidelines.

  • Contract length 5-6 months with following 2 months of vacation.

Responsibilities:

  • To greet Guests in a professional manner and to provide them with prompt, courteous and friendly food and beverage service in public rooms, lounges, open decks and bars.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, manuals, directives and appearance standards at all times.
  • To prepare garnishes and other mise en place for their assigned bar.
  • Bar waiter must have a comprehensive knowledge of the ingredients and prices of all drinks on the menu as well as the daily specials and any promotional sale for the day.
  • Ensure proper cleaning (as per USPH / Shipboard Sanitation Program standards including logs and labeling), maintenance and storage of equipment in assigned bars, pantries and / or lockers in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
  • Report any maintenance issues to assigned supervisor and follow up on work orders until completed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned, not limited to the above.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a luxury international hotel property or two (2) years of experience in the luxury cruise industry in a bar environment (Cruise ship experience is preferred).
  • Fluent spoken English
  • Must have good product and beverage knowledge.
  • Good interpersonal and public communication skills.
  • Very good organizational skills and attention to details are required.
  • Must possess initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Needs to have an outgoing personality and possess a positive attitude, maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor at all times even under pressure utilizing an in depth understanding and knowledge of Crystal Basics
  • Minimum 21 years old.
