Welders help to maintain and repair our ships by ensuring that any required welding is completed. Welders play a vital part in ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and all outlets onboard are maintained correctly t

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring that all work permits are issued and signed, before starting jobs
  • Ensuring that Fire Patrol has been assigned and is present before any hot work is started
  • Reporting to Staff Chief Engineer and requests refilling and welding gasses/oxygen bottles without exceeding storage capacity
  • Ensuring that all aspects of company occupational health and safety are effectively applied during all working activities

REQUIREMENTS

  • GRADE 12
  • Minimal 12 months proven shipboard experience as Welder
