We are seeking skilled and experienced Casino Dealers to join our dynamic team onboard an ocean-going cruise ship. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong understanding of various casino games, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment. As a Casino Dealer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable and exciting gaming experience while adhering to all regulations and policies. Responsibilities: - Operate Casino Games: Manage and conduct a variety of casino games including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, and Poker, ensuring that all games are played according to established rules and regulations.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, explaining game rules, and creating a welcoming atmosphere at the gaming tables.
- Game Supervision: Monitor game play to detect any irregularities, ensure fair play, and address any issues that arise promptly and professionally.
- Compliance and Security: Adhere to all internal and external regulations, including gaming laws and company policies, to ensure the integrity of the gaming experience.
- Cash Handling: Accurately handle chips, cash, and cards during game play, ensuring all transactions are recorded and accounted for.
- Maintain Game Equipment: Ensure that all gaming equipment, including cards, chips, and tables, are in excellent condition and properly maintained.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on gaming rules, customer service techniques, and any new games introduced.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit daily reports on game activities, including any incidents or irregularities, to the Casino Supervisor/Manager.
Education and Experience: - Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of experience working as a Casino Dealer in a land-based casino, with cruise ship experience preferred.
- Game Knowledge: Proficient in dealing a variety of casino games including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, and Poker.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an asset.
- Training: Completion of a recognized Casino Dealer training program is preferred.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with guests from diverse backgrounds.
Other Requirements: - Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work in a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the cruise ship itinerary.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other casino staff and cruise ship personnel to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Contract: - Averaging 6 months onboard, followed by 2 months of vacation.
- Shared cabin (one other person with en-suite bathroom facilities).
