Job Details

As an International Ambassador, you will be in charge of the international program on board the ship. You will interact with multilingual guests to provide linguistic assistance and oral translation to ensure that they enjoy all aspects of the cruise experience.

• Serves as a host and/or translator at a wide range of events or activities, with the participation of a considerable number of non-English speaking guests.
• Participate in specific appointments in designated areas. It provides a wide range of translation and interpreting services for guests who require and require linguistic assistance. It responds to requests, offers suggestions and also presents descriptive documentation in various languages regarding shore excursions, activities on board the ship, entertainment, etc.
• Serves as a translator for any and all departments when a translation from a foreign language is needed
• Prepares a wide range of reports and letters using your personal computer system and equipment

Minimum requirements

Minimum age 21 years

Relevant customer service experience, preferably in the field of hospitality, using multiple foreign languages, or experience on cruise ships, similar position

English language advanced level (speaking, writing, reading) - MANDATORY

In addition, knowledge of four (4) foreign languages of international circulation (speaking, writing, reading) – MANDATORY: German, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, etc. – (knowledge assessment tests may be requested).
